Robert Cray is an American blues musician and guitarist, born on August 1, 1953, in Columbus, Georgia, USA. He is known for his distinctive guitar-playing style and unique approach to the blues, which blends traditional sounds with elements of soul, funk, and rock.

 

He began his music career in the 1970s, and in 1980, he formed his own band called The Robert Cray Band. His breakthrough album was “Strong Persuader,” released in 1986, which brought him great popularity and earned him many awards, including Grammy Awards.
