In the beginning, it was supposed to be… Gdynia. And the port areas.
Information about the post-shipyard areas in Gdańsk appeared by accident. We lived in the belief that they were still not available.
We visited all the levels of Hall 90B and decided on the ground floor. Where the stage is now, there was previously a railway ramp.
The work to turn the industrial hall into a music club took eight months. We built two stages. Before the acoustic adaptation, the rooms had a reverberation rate of more than seven seconds!
And this is how Pomerania’s largest concert club was created, able to welcome two thousand people during an event.
The hardest part, of course, was the beginning. And the first three years. During them, we focused on rock and metal. B90 club opened with concerts by Primal Scream, The Raveonettes, Buzzcocks and The Damned – it was a foretaste of what was to come in the following years.
Later, we proved that we could organize concerts from other genres. And although the metal concert marathons are certainly the most spectacular events in the venue’s history, year after year they are also joined by events in electronic, rap or pop climates.
For over a decade, we have organized more than a thousand concerts, featuring more than two thousand bands. We have also organized ten editions of the independent music event, the Soundrive Festival.
Both artists and fans of the genre form a single entity, and the concerts are complete productions.
