EFIR is a Lemko-Ukrainian folk-rock band founded in 2021 in Wroclaw, Poland. Its founders are Michal Bukowski, an accordionist, and manager Karina Koda. The group combines Lemko, Ukrainian and Polish musical traditions with modern musical styles, creating a unique sound that has won the hearts of listeners. The band plays both traditional melodies in modern rock arrangements, as well as more contemporary genres such as reggae, ska and punk.
Their goal is to spread Lemko and Ukrainian culture, and EFIR’s music is a combination of energetic rhythms and rich tradition, which attracts a wide audience to their concerts. The band performs at numerous cultural events and festivals, such as Łemkowska Watra.
