Not only is the band returning to the stage, they have announced a new album, "Bauhaus Staircase," to be released on October 27 this year. The expressive, glam-tinged disc was created in collaboration with rock producer David Watts, bringing exciting new elements to OMD's style. In their own words, this is their most politically engaged album, where they realize their ambition to be like Stockhausen and ABBA at the same time. Instead of resting on their laurels and cutting coupons on nostalgia, the musicians are also looking to the future: both in the lyrics of their new songs and their bold electronic sounds.
