Wednesday 13

Wednesday 13 is an American band playing horror punk, founded by the musician of the same stage name, Wednesday 13 (Joseph Poole), who became known for his work with Murderdolls, a group associated with horror punk and heavy metal genres. The Wednesday 13 band was established after the dissolution of Murderdolls, around 2004, and continues to explore similar lyrical themes, combining horror with punk sound and metal aggression.

The music of Wednesday 13 is characterized by dark, theatrical lyrics, often inspired by classic horror films, gothic aesthetics, and black humor. In their tracks, the band frequently addresses themes related to macabre, supernatural phenomena, and other motifs straight out of horrors.

Over the years, Wednesday 13 has released several studio albums, each further developing their distinctive sound and themes. Albums such as “Transylvania 90210: Songs of Death, Dying, and the Dead” (2005), “Fang Bang” (2006), and “Monsters of the Universe: Come Out and Plague” (2015) have gained recognition from fans of horror punk and metal.

Besides working with the band, Wednesday 13 is also known for solo projects and collaborations with other artists from the metal and punk scenes. His live performances are known for their theatricality and engaging the audience, often using special effects and costumes inspired by horror films.

Wednesday 13 and his band remain active on the music scene, touring and releasing new materials that continue the tradition of horror punk with a unique, recognizable style.
